Because public education ends at ninth grade, AdJ feels compelled to provide some scholarships to students so they can continue their education in other villages. The project is in conjunction with Amigos de Santa Cruz, which provides the eligibility evaluation and monitors the students’ progress. In return, the students are required to volunteer in Jaibalito and to act as role models for younger students. This year AdJ funded four students.
Below are the Bio's of each of the 2017 Scholarship students in English and Spanish.
