Community Library Project

Terry Williams of the Wings Foundation in Colorado provided books and some funds to establish a library in the village. However, the agreement is that the community provides a librarian. Because of the librarian’s limited experience, AdJ provides support and training for the librarian. AdJ has also donated a computer and printer and provides internet services as well as supplies. The library has the only public computer in the village. It is an asset to all the students as a quiet place to complete their homework, do research and to borrow books. Joe and Cindy Bedsill, who live in nearby Panajachel, are now the Wings representatives and work with us to help promote and maintain the library.
