Community Library Project

Terry Williams of the Wings Foundation in Colorado has provided books and some funds to establish a library in the village. However, currently limited public funds are available for staffing and furnishing the library by the community, as is required by the agreement with Wings Foundation. AdJ has donated a computer, a printer and internet services along with supplies. The library has the only public computer in the village. It is an asset to all the students as a quiet place to complete their homework, do research and to borrow books. Because of the librarian’s limited experience, AdJ provides support and training for the librarian. Joe and Cindy Bedsill, who live in nearby Panajachel, are now the Wings representatives and work with us to help promote and maintain the library.
